Reflection Paragraph on Sources
Finding Sources on my topic of drug abuse was fairly easy, but timely. There are a lot of sources relating to my topic and most of them were really helpful to me. The most helpful source that I encountered was; http://www.helpguide.org/mental/drug_substance_abuse_addiction_signs_effects_treatment.htm. This source helped the most because it taught me all of the signs and symptoms of drug abuse, also because it taught me how I could potentially helped the person abusing drugs. I would say that the most trustworthy source would be the source I just gave because it was created or contributed to by doctor or medical associates. The sources that displayed the most bias was the blogs and articles on preventing drug abuse because they were all for proving drugs to be bad and preventing the use of drugs in everyone.
Reflection Paragragh on Process
Researching and specifying facts about my topic was a long and hard process. Even though it was time consuming I still enjoyed learning more about my topic and knowing that I'm not alone in trying to end this issue. I think the easiest part about my blog was finding information because my topic is widely spread and very important. If I had to do this project again the thing I would change is getting all of my post done on time and not wait until the last minute to do things. I really enjoyed getting to share this issue to others and the feeling it gives me to know I'm making a difference.
Wordle #2
This wordle reflects all of the factors and components that can cause, deal with, happen because of, and result in someone abusing drugs. The process of making this wordle was quite easy. I feel it was easy because of all the information and facts that I have discovered through researching my topic of drug abuse. I feel this wordle can really touch someone’s emotions and make them want to prevent these things from happening. This wordle I feel will help me muster up enough people to really make a difference in someone’s life that is dealing with drug abuse.
Reflection Paragraph on Findings
Throughout my research I found many interesting facts and many people trying to help both parental drug abuse and drug abuse. One thing that surprised me the most was that one in six children, in school today, are dealing with their parents abusing drugs. My topic was full of interesting facts, but the most important fact is parental drug abuse, and drug abuse itself, can lead to other serious things such as; suicide, murder, depression, and much more. A question that I still have is why, even with the help centers, is the rate of drug abuse still increasing? Lastly, I feel even more emotional and passionate about my topic, and I think that if people can really know about my topic, then they will feel the same way too.

Finding Paragraph 3
Drugs are known for there addictivness and health reducing side affects. Should a parent be allowed to do drugs when they have a child at home? Parents are potentially a kids greatest role model, and try to be a positive influence in their childs life. In order for a parent to have a good kid they must be that childs hero (Bob Roach). The people a child tries to please the mosts is their parents and if their parents are on drugs, then they can not please them because their parents will only be focused on the drugs and where they can get more. Just this fact alone can devistate a childs life tremendously! Children - teenagers as well as youngsters - naturally look for role models to shape their attitudes and behaviors (WWW.kidsgoals.com). If a child doesn't have their parents their as a role model because they are on drugs, then their kid is either do the same thing or shut himself out from the world because they do not feel like they have someone there for them. Drug abuse is starting to be recognized as a serious issue organizations are setting up policies to stop drug abuse and drugs use in general. Overall I am satisfied with what is being done against drug abuse, but there is still a lot to be done around the world and I hope I can become a positive influence to many in helping stop this major issue.
Finding Paragraph 2
Parents who abuse drugs typically don't care about anything else, but getting their next high or where they can get their new supply (former abuser). Why do people, specifically parents, abuse drugs? People generally take drugs to either feel good (i.e., sensation seekers or anyone wanting to experiment with feeling high or different) or to feel better (i.e., self-medicators or individuals who take drugs in an attempt to cope with difficult problems or situations, including stress, trauma, and symptoms of mental disorders) (The NIDA; national institute on drug abuse). Drugs, as you may know, is one of the leading causes of deaths today and is continueing to increase due to influences in bands, singers, sports players, and other idols. Celebrities are all too often dealt with leniently, which in turn is sending out the wrong message to adults and young people (UN's International Narcotics Control Board). Drugs only lead to bad decisions, money lose, and abuse to yourself and others around you. With drug abuse spreading rapidly and people finding new ways to do drugs, the issue can only get worse and lead to worse things for the abusers and their families.
Finding Paragraph 1
I have found a lot of interesting information about parental drug abuse and the affects it has on the parents kids and family members.Looking through articles and trying to figure out which ones were best and most appropriate to use was one of the hardest, not to mention one of the most time consuming processes of creating my blog. One interesting fact I found was one in six children in school today are dealing with drug abusing parents (Leah Davies of WWW.Kellybear.com). Knowing this information really helped me answer my question of how many kids are affected by parental drug abuse today, and it also allowed me to focus on ways to help narrow this number down. Also, my question of what kind of drug has the most negative affect on a person; I felt was answered by the quote: Whether you’re addicted to nicotine, alcohol, heroin, Xanax, speed, or Vicodin, the effect on the brain is the same: an uncontrollable craving to use that is more important than anything else, including family, friends, career, and even your own health and happiness (WWW.helpguide.org). Lastly, the biggest informational text I found was in an article from "helpguide.org", which told me all about the signs, symptoms, and how to prevent drug abuse. I feel I have found a lot of valuable information and I feel I am making a big impact in stopping parnetal drug abuse.

Quote #5
"A consistent global finding is that substance abuse runs in families."- http://family.jrank.org/pages/1648/Substance-Abuse-Family-Factors-Contributing-Risk-Resiliency.html#ixzz1IZ5mls8W
This Quote was taken out of an article on substance abuse and the affects it has on people abusing and the people around the abusers. This article also talks about how substance abuse runs in the families of abusers and why it usually does. I believe this quote can really let people see how fast and widely this issue can spread and that people must act now in trying to stop parental drug abuse, so we can help these kids who are being affected by this issue.
